EDI Analyst

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona

The EDI Analyst will execute companys EDI strategy and work-plans. This requires planning and executing multiple medium project enhancements of medium complexity. In particular, the incumbent will collaborate with this organizations business users, customers, carriers and various IT team members to plan, gather requirements and develop EDI solutions in support of customer on-boarding and business operation. 

Responsibilities 

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 

Work with business users and application groups to identify enhancement requirements, estimate development effort, and translate business requirements into functional specifications 

Design and develop EDI solutions producing appropriate documentation and with high degree of re-usability 

-Review test plan and test results to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested at all stages of development, and assist in preparation for production deployment 

Manage service provider quality and performance to ensure that services are delivered according to the specified service levels and requirements 

Optimize system resources and applications, and evaluate alternative solutions when required 

Key Result Areas 

EDI enhancements of medium complexity are delivered on schedule and meet business requirements 

Key project stakeholders are engaged, involved and satisfied with the EDI solutions delivered 

Work and coordinate well with business users and other teams within Group IT, and aligned to meet the overall objectives of Group IT 

Qualifications 

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent work experience, is required 

Minimum 8 years of EDI experience, of which at least 5 years are in providing support and assistance to customers relating to on-boarding EDI projects 

EDI experience in the Logistics industry (preferably Ocean Shipments) 

Proven track record in managing IT projects of medium complexity 

with business users, and working together with IT Logistics team collectively to deliver results 

Strong EDI working knowledge and with basic analysis & project management skills 

Effective written and oral communication skills 

Perform EDI (ANSI-X12/EDIFACT/XML) logical map development related to Logistics industries, e.g. PO, Booking, Booking Confirmation, Packing List, Shipment Instruction/Information, Shipment Status, and ASN 

Coordinate EDI development and testing with vendors, business users and customers 

Troubleshoot systems failure and provide user support 

Highly motivated team player with good understanding of Logistics 

operations and experience in multiple integration platforms 

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple high-priority EDI projects in a 24x7 support environment
