Role: Wireless Network Engineer - 6 months on-site in Las Vegas, NV (see attached document that provides more detail around experience and skills required for this role)
This is in the pursuit stage only at this time. If we identify a resource with these skills, we can move forward with this engagement starting Feb 1, 2016 timeframe. On-call availability on a rotational basis. Must be local, within 1 hr drive of job location & have Cell Phone capable of receiving text messages.
Overview:
We are looking for a consultant to perform service tasks which may include any manner of work activity related to receiving equipment, configuring equipment, mounting and installing equipment within racks, or cabling equipment within the environment. Service tasks may alternately fall within any number of tasks related to supporting, administering, troubleshooting and deploying the existing infrastructure systems within the environment. These support tasks may include monitoring and working from a queue of requests for service delivery, incident resolution, general administration, maintenance or installation of modifications, patches and updates to existing systems.
Technical Skills Required:
- Thorough knowledge of Wi-Fi systems as well as the complexities surrounding large scale Wi-Fi deployments, specifically Aruba
- Strong network fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4 and working knowledge of IPv6
- Documented expertise with Wi-Fi configuration, security principles, and maintenance best practices
- Advanced competence with monitoring tools, techniques, alerting and notification processes
- Competence with fault isolation, testing procedures, and network mapping and diagramming tools Technical Certifications
- Current, relative industry certifications and continuing education
Experience Required
- 3+ years' experience designing, implementing and supporting Aruba Wi-Fi networks
- Hands on, demonstrable experience with Aruba Clearpass
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment (MICS, PCI, SOX)
· Training and experience with ITSM practices
