IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• We need someone who has done project management of Infrastructure services related projects.
• (DB2 upgrade or BPC are just kind of project environments).
• 5-7 years' experience in an IT project manager position

• 10+ Yrs. BPC Experience
• Ensures project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule and cost. 
• Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments. 
• Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget. 
• Establishes relationship with project sponsor, project and affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous efficient management of projects; gathers input and feedback.
• Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility and that necessary preliminary activities are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion. 
• Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion. 
• Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. 
• Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner. 
• Ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into products/services, and/or disseminated to other areas as needed. 
• Project management experience

• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
• Ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization 
• Ability to assess risk and apply management principles to various products and business functions
• Plans, monitors and supports mid-level projects from initiation through completion. Coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.
• Drives execution and monitors and reports project status; assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation. 
• Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions. 
• Manages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques. 
• Actively facilitates the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project plan. 
• Supports established scope control procedures. 
• Analyzes and reports project status and research information; monitors project performance to maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and content. 
• Collaborates and communicates with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities. 
• Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation. 
• Drives the development and implementation of contingency plans. 
• Assist in the development of project budgets in compliance with the company's financial practices.

• Should have progressing skills in Financial Analysis, Change Management and Quality Management.

Scope for Request: 
• Project Manager for DB2 Upgrade Project.
• Current DB2 is out of support. 
• This is a heavy infrastructure project and requires a solid PM with infrastructure background

Qualifications - External:
• Project Managers take full responsibility for managing a project or program. 
• They normally manage a number of related streams or activities to achieve a desired business result, planned profitability levels, quality standards and highest-level client satisfaction. 
• Project Managers are responsible for the project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. 
• A Project Manager usually has technical expertise in one or more other domains (e.g. a Project Manager with testing skills could perform a test manager function).

Required Skills and Experience:
• You ensure that client needs are satisfied through the formulation, development, implementation and delivery of application solutions in response to client requirements, expressed in approved service requests. 
• You are responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. 
• You ensure that the project meets its deliverables in an agreed schedule, according to the scope, within stipulated budget, and to quality standards.
