Title: JDE Cloud Architect

Duration: 2 Months

Type: Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA  

Description:

•        The applicant will display their experience and responsibilities in the development and deployment of cloud computing strategies.

•        The applicant must also be familiar with hosting JDE Based solutions.  

•        The Cloud Architect role is expected to demonstrate the following abilities:

•        Responsible for the definition of all aspects of the cloud infrastructure strategy, architectural compliance definition and standardization, infrastructure design and engineering, and transition to operations.

•        Develop roadmaps, guiding principles, policies, processes, and infrastructure architecture to support the infrastructure.

•        Ability to collaborate with IT Leadership, technical staff and project team, to quickly understand the hosting requirements and deliver a solution that complies with the standards of a JDE hosted solution.

•        Provide communication plans that articulate the prioritization of deliverables and responsibilities.

•        Propose alternative strategies to balance trade-offs in the areas of; cost, services and support.

•        Analyze output from functional teams and advise if proposed solutions can be integrated into hosted system.

•        When necessary, work with functional and technical teams to resolve integration issues.

•        Effectively engage with client and vendor teams to provide strategic alignment with project teams, solution delivery teams, application and data architecture teams, security compliance, and key strategic partners, to deliver integrated technology architecture.

•        Assess cloud providers' capabilities to deliver services according to strategy.

•        Identify and address continual improvements in the network, hosting technologies, and related services.

•        Proactively engage in enterprise capacity planning and performance management.

•        Detailed Description and Job Requirements

•        The Cloud Architect position requires the ability to work with internal, client and vendor project teams to deliver a hosted JDE environment.

•        This work will be executed through the utilization of the Clients IUnify methodology, processes and policies.

•        This position's primary duties are to develop and communicate the necessary strategies required for the implementation and support of the hosted environment.

•        Candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver solutions in a timely manner that create business process improvements and support client long term goals.  

Education:

•        Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of overall enterprise IT experience.

Experience:

•        3+ year of experience in cloud technology architecture, enterprise, or solutions architecture, preferably in a web technologies delivery role.

•        7+ years of increasing managerial responsibility  

•        Experience in setting strategic vision and technical direction for a large IT organization.

•        Experience with large scale hosting environments, cloud computing and related virtualization technologies, SAN and NAS storage, SQL databases, Intel Linux, and Intel Windows platforms
