Job Description:
Title: MySQL Mongo DBA,
Type: Contract,
Location: Hollywood-CA.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related Minimum 5 to 6 years of work experience as a MySQL Database Administrator.
· Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures.
· Experience working with Java and high-available web applications Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes.
· Ability to communicate effectively to different levels of technical and non-technical audience. Creating and improving internal deployment and orchestration tools.
· Actively monitoring the performance and stability of all the production and internal database infrastructure at Booking.com, using your analytical skills to anticipate future problems and resolve them effectively.
· Troubleshooting and resolving problems alongside other DBA's, systems administrators and software developers.
· Supporting the rapid development and deployment of internal software and systems.
· Provide excellent service in response to commercial business requirements.
· You will have to provide knowledge and support to technical software developers; Documenting systems and communicate technical knowledge to colleagues.
· Skilled Experience with Database with onsite lead advanced knowledge of MySQL and MySQL replication with the desire to expand on this knowledge.
· Strong proficiency in Linux command line.
· Experience in automation and configuration management, Proficiency in at least one programming language (shell script is a plus).
· Awareness of different storage technologies and network protocols.
· Strong interest and ability to analyze systems for scalability and reliability.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Experience with PostgreSQL, mongodb, cassandrais a plus.
· Good team communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
· A passion for providing excellent service to developers and external customers.
