Description of project:
A major cable company, is seeking a Senior Oracle PL / SQL Developer with Netezza experience to enhance / create reports for their existing databases. You'll be responsible for both new development and occasional changes of legacy code - in an environment that is undergoing a major migration.
Responsibilities & Required Skills:
. 7+ years ADVANCED Oracle PL / SQL development experience; Must have expertise with joining tables and complex queries with LARGE data sets
. At least 3-4+ years of current experience working in a large (hundreds of millions rows with 100's of TBs of data) Data Warehoouse environments
. Must have experience designing and implementing ETL routines written completely in PL/SQL (from scratch) that handle the loading of both transactional and batch updates (millions of records per load)
. Hands-on experience with Netezza, understanding of how it works and able to write queries is a big plus and preferred
. Able to effectively tune SQL and PL/SQL queries
. Some hands-on experience with UNIX is required
. Experience troubleshooting and resolving data and system performance issues
