Job Roles & Responsibilities:
• Build out a Cassandra/ Spark data farm of mission critical data with fast retrieval and real-time updates.
• Perform analysis of requirements and design
• Create and execute unit tests and perform basic systems testing
• Participate in peer code reviews and technical meetings
• Troubleshoot and support system and application problems
• Coordinate with users and developers located in different geographic regions
Required skills and experience:
• 4+ years of experience in building & managing Big data products in enterprise mode with Products like Cassandra/ Spark
• Strong Java background with expertise in designing and developing multi-threaded systems
• Comfortable reading, reviewing, and modifying others' code
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of Linux OS and internals
• Experience with Agile development processes, methodologies and tools
• Excellent understanding of Object Oriented software design
