Summary:

While Dev ops experience is strongly desired, it is not required and not a necessary indicator of the strongest candidate.  This Person will act as an administrator of the tools used for Dev Ops, NOT as a user of the tools.  A red flag would be a person with extensive experience using these tools with no Installation, configuration and upgrade experience of the tools.  Successful experience as an administrator is a hard requirement for the position.

Requirements:

·         7+ years of experience with IBM Rational Suite as an Administrator of the suite on a Linux environment; Specifically Build Forge and Clear Case.

·         Experience installing, Configuring and Upgrading Rational Build Forge and Rational Clear Case. 

·         Experience administering the environment over time.

·         Experience configuring security for Rational Build Forge and Clear Case.

·         5+ years of experience working on capacity planning and performance tuning of Build and Configuration Management platforms.

·         5+ years of experience with Production trouble-shooting and analysis of Thread Dumps, heap dumps, logs and core files.  Experience using Java Profilers.

·         5+ years of experience working in a Linux environment, automating routing and common tasks through shell scripting.

·         Advanced Java tuning and troubleshooting skills.

·         Ability to analyze and troubleshoot in a N-tier JAVA application environment on Linux.

·         Willingness to mentor.  Strong analytical, technical documentation, and excellent business communication skills are required.

·         Excellent working knowledge in Linux is required.

·         Experience integrating and deploying Java-based web applications in a Linux Environment

·         Experience with Shell and/or Perl scripting

·         Experience working with internal Customers and vendors to deliver the required solution.

·         Working knowledge of Dev Ops principles.
