Title: Finance Business Intelligence Business Analyst
Location: Columbus, Indiana
Term: 8+ months
Description:
Key member of the Corporate Functions IT Finance Team in support of the Finance Systems Business Intelligence strategy and roadmap implementation
- Lead the analysis, requirements, development, design, documentation, testing and implementation of BI solutions to solve business problems
- Serve as voice of the business within the IT function and take on responsibility for delivering value to the business through the implementation of business intelligence solutions
- Role will be responsible for the implementation and enhancement of the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA) and Capital Reporting Dashboards
- Facilitates requirements meetings with cross-BU and cross-functional user groups
- Assists IT BI Finance Leader and business on prioritization of requirements
- Gathers, analyzes, and documents current practices, workflows, and business needs to identify efficiencies, alternatives, and gaps
- Translate business requirements into functional specification documents for the development team
- Very strong knowledge and expertise in BOIEE tool stack to work independently
- Develop the standard reports using OBIEE tool stack as needed by the Business
- Build and enhance the OBIEE/RPD models as appropriate for the business need
- Performs functional testing and leads user acceptance testing with business stakeholders
- Works closely with BI Finance Leader to define project scope, schedule, and deliverables
- Manages changes to the project scope or deliverables
- Maintain effective working relationships with Finance functional owners, IT Shared Service teams, and vendors for implementation of Business Intelligence projects
SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:
- B.S. Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- Experience of Business Intelligence tools, preferably Teradata and OBIEE
- Understanding/ background of Finance processes including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Capital Management
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials GL, AP, AR, FA and Capital Projects modules including the related data models is preferred
- Highly adept at gathering and documenting user requirements from cross-BU business teams
- Excellent communication skills to translate technology into business value
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to provide efficient, timely support
