Position Description : The Technical Specialist provides expertise in system architecture, design principles, software development methodologies, and selection of information systems. Formulate detailed business and functional requirements enabling automated workflows to be developed or enhanced. Understands and applies concepts of enterprise architecture to ensure systems align, adhere, and integrate within an IT enterprise environment. Assist in testing, validation and user training; provide visibility to project manager on progress against approaching milestones, issues, risks and dependencies; proactively create and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders. Participates in technical decisions, develops technical proposals that consider alternatives and business case. Must have demonstrated project and deliverable consistency through repeatable and reliable performance. Experience in technical proposal development. Experience with developing IT processes and procedures. Ability in solving complex technical problems with multiple computing technologies. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
Additional must-have qualifications are: strong verbal and written Communication skills, project management and problem solving skills, and basic IT knowledge of hardware and software systems.

This assignment is to support development of Ruby on Rails applications on our website. We have significant development starting and require two additional Ruby on Rails developers to join the team.
Qualifications:
We are looking for experienced Ruby on Rails developers. They must have proficiency with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and Linux. A strong understanding of PHP would be nice, but not absolutely necessary
