RESPONSIBILITIES
- This is a hands-on role involving extensive participation in coding, design and implementation of ecommerce applications
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills are required for interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Design and implement solutions to meet our business requirements
- Ensure software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design reviews
- Collaborate with Architects and developers within the team as well across teams
- Provide updates to team leads and Project Managers
- Mentor junior members of the team
- Be able to focus and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Stay up to date on new technologies
- Provide code development estimates and coordinate development tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Bachelor or Masters degree preferred (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc...)
- Minimum 10 years IT experience.
- 5 years' experience with hybris / WebSphere Commerce / ATG, etc…
- 5 years' experience with Search Technologies (Solr, Endeca)
- Strong Java experience (Java/ J2EE, JSP, JDBC)
- Strong MVC experience (Spring, Struts, etc.)
- Strong persistence experience e.g. (EJB, Hibernate, JPA)
- 5 years' experience with Application servers (JBOSS, Tomcat, Weblogic, WebSphere etc)
- 5 years' experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL etc.)
- 5 years' experience with web services (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON)
- 5 years working on UNIX systems
- Exposure to scripting tools like ANT
- Exposure to source control systems like Git, SVN
- Experience with dynamic application caching
- Experience caching on the edge (CDN like Akamai)
- Experience applying Design Patterns: Abstract factory, Singleton, MVC, Facade, Front-Controller, etc.
- Experience working with international e-commerce solutions is a plus
- Experience with A/B testing tools
- Exposure to Content Management Systems like OpenText WEM, Adobe CQ5
- Exposure to front end technologies (HTML5, JS, CSS3, Bootstrap.js, Require.js etc)
- Exposure to Order Management Systems like Manhattan EOM, IBM Sterling
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP etc.)
- Exposure to bug tracking systems like JIRA
- Exposure to mobile development platforms for iOs and Android
- Experience with established software development methodologies, including Agile (SCRUM, XP, etc.)
