Position : Linux Admin W/DevOps

Location: NJ & PA (Locals)(F2F)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

Key skills required for the job are:

•           Linux Admin (Mandatory)

•           Infra Performance and Optimization

•           Devops - Puppet

Technical must-haves:

1.          Understanding of infrastructure-as-code.

2.         Understanding of DevOps concepts.

3.         Some hands-on experience or good familiarity with Puppet.

4.         Solid Unix system administration experience.

Soft skills:

Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated appetite to improve current conditions, specifically in the area of server management.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the availability of these services within the XOPS Core Services team:

•           LDAP

•           DNS

•           DHCP

•           Puppet infrastructure (may change tooling in future)

•           NTP

•           MTA

2. Advance the state of the above services to greater transparency, availability, and responsiveness to changing environmental demands.

3. Be able to work in a team environment of 6-8 engineers on the XOPS Core Services team and with application development teams to initiate and deliver improvements.

4. Production support may require after-hours response and remediation.
