Job Description:

Business Intelligence Developer (Tableau)

The Business Intelligence Developer (Tableau) is responsible for creating technical designs, developing and deploying technical components of Tableau BI Solutions. This position is responsible for understanding the business, functional, and customer requirements to analyze and design technical solutions. This position utilizes established development methodologies (strategies, positions, patterns, development standards, integration, documentation, and testing) to manage the product development lifecycle.

Principal Responsibilities:

Technical Design and Development

• Work with the businesses and project team members (Architect, Solution Designer, Back End BI Developer) to understand and create reporting solutions which solve business problems. This may include prototyping potential solutions, or modifying existing work to meet new or changing needs through the use of development standards, processes, and tools available to the team.

• Enabling ad-hoc/self-service BI solutions through various solutions

• Build or modify appropriate documentation as defined by team standards. This will include assuring that the solution is supportable and the knowledge is transferred to the support team

Development Testing and Quality

• Understanding of using structured data, dimensional models or cubes and various forms of ETL for reporting

• Ensure technical designs accurately represent the requirements and functional designs.

• Ensure development and architecture standards are met. Assure quality & consistency across all project work products / phases.

• Provide necessary technical support through all phases of testing and incident handling after deployment

Required:

• 4-5+ Years developing reports in Tableau.

• Knowledge of SAP BW

• Understanding of dimensional and Entity-Relational data modeling and OLAP

• Experience developing in the following SAP Business Objects technologies: Webi, Crystal

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in analysis, technical design and development.

• 2+ years of experience working in a project environment

• 2+ years of experience deploying solutions through formal change control processes

• Business fluency in English

• Experience working as part of a global project team.

• Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and problem solving skills in ambiguous and changing environments

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
