Job Title: Oracle DBA / Consultant

Oracle: Databases - Oracle, SQL, Sybase, DB2
Job Description:
Oracle:
- New Database build using configurator assistant and command mode
- Database patching
- Performance tuning. AWR , AWH knowledge is must
- Backup and Recovery management. Ability to resolve incidents relating to same.
- RAC database configuration & day to day maintenance activities
- Replication experience involving Oracle Data guard and / or Golden Gate
- ASM maintenance
- Redhat Linux OS knowledge is preferred
SQLServer:
- New Database build knowledge
- Managing production database environments including monitoring, optimizing system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods. SQL Profiler knowledge is must
- Database patching
- SCOM knowledge is preferred
- Backup and Recovery management. Ability to resolve incidents relating to same.
- Cluster database configuration & day to day maintenance activities
- Replication experience involving Log shipping & Mirroring is must
- Migration knowledge from 2005/2008 to higher version is preferred
Sybase:
- Managing production database environments including monitoring, optimizing system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
- Providing backup and restore functions using both standard database backup methods as well as filer/NAS based technologies
- Writing build/maintenance scripts that allow databases and their corresponding objects to be created/modified in different environments
- Knowledge of Linux OS and Unix shell scripting, Perl knowledge a plus
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining database environments
DB2/UDB:
- New Database build knowledge
- Database patching
- Performance tuning
- Backup and Recovery management. Ability to resolve incidents relating to same.
- Cluster database configuration & day to day maintenance activities
- Database upgrade in test and production.
- Creating database objects, migrating from test to production, and implementing batch schedules with the appropriate DB2 utilities.
- Monitor disk space and the DB2 log, backups, protect the integrity of the data.
