Java Developer – Full Stack

Location: Creve Coeur, MO

Duration: 12 months

Description:

The individual will be working on our API team. This team develops automations and API's consumed by business applications across client. The candidate will be responsible for the collaboration, development and implementation of externally facing API Portal.

- Consuming new technologies with relentless desire

- Customer engagement including ideation, design thinking, and seeking rapid feedback

- Experience designing and developing primarily Internet/Web pages and applications such as e-commerce and content-driven Web sites.

- Experience in coding, testing, debugging and implementing Web applications using a variety of languages and platforms such as HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, Can.js.

- Developing proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy to navigate user interfaces (UI) that consist of Web pages with graphics, icons and color schemes that are visually appealing.

- Ensuring that applications are compatible across multiple computing platforms and browsers.

- Requires familiarity with streaming media concepts and techniques, including digital video and audio compression standards such as MP3, WAV and MPEG.

- Familiarity with at least one modern backend programming language like Java, .NET, Scala.

- Modern web development (e.g., HTML5, JavaScript, AngularJS, Backbone)

- System design with SOA/REST/Microservices

- Relational database design and access (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

- Cloud-first development experience with automated, continuous delivery deployments

- Detailed technical problem solving and troubleshooting

Bonus points for:

- Agriculture domain knowledge

- Mobile development experience

- Experience working with large data sets

- Experience with NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase, Neo4J)

- Experience with logging and search/analytics tools

- Experience with AWS or similar distributed architecture
