Job Title: Java Technical Lead
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 3 Months+
Skills Required: Java, JavaScript (very strong), Angular, MQ/REST/SOAP/Middleware
Job Description:
Successful candidates will have experience performing as technical lead on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components
Responsibilities:
- Engineer, design and code features on the call center and back office agent-facing platform
- Build and deploy APIs in support of the platform
- Interface with the product / business owners, architects, source platforms and platform system teams
- Follow an agile delivery methodology for delivery
- Support current .NET, API technology solution and transition to Java, JavaScript, SPA and Cloud technologies. Primary strength in JavaScript desired.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical role
- At least 5 years of experience with application design and at least 5 years of experience with development
- At least 5 years of experience managing and supporting the full life-cycle of IT development projects
- At least x years of experience with Java, Middleware, at least 2 years of experience with MQ, at least 2 years of experience with API, at least 2 years of experience with SOAP based web services
- At least 2 years of experience with UNIX, at least 2 years of experience with Shell Scripting
- Experience with NodeJS, Angular JS, AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, or Master's Degree in Engineering, or Master's Degree in Information Technology
