| Key Skills : | Windows Systems Administrator(must have active directory and netapp experience) Hayward, CA 6 + months (contract) Position Overview: The windows. Systems Administrator is responsible for establishing/improving appropriate systems management processes. This position is responsible for the helping management over 400 Virtual servers. Responsibilities include systems planning, design, installation, patching and optimization of Windows servers. Role and Responsibilities: Gathering requirements, designing, implementing and managing windows servers Performs operating system installation and performance tuning Administers and designs storage solutions Coordinates the testing and implementation of solutions Prepares, analyzes, revises, and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes reports as necessary Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cutcosts, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices. Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise Assists users with questions regarding systems/applications Updates and maintains reference manuals (internal and otherwise) Provide day-to-day technology support and general systems management (user/group management, license management, systems configuration, etc.) Perform routine security and configuration audits Perform a wide range of system administration duties, including support of corporate enterprise applications, databases, laptops, servers and network equipment. Leverage the internal help-desk support systems and processes to ensure that IT issues impacting employees worldwide are quickly resolved Proactively oversee the monitoring of all IT devices, applications and services using a combination of tools, including Microsoft SCCM, Splunk, Solarwinds. Strong knowledge of VMware/Citrix administration is required Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Minimum Qualifications: B.S in computer Science or related Filed or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (SERVER/OS/OFFICE/IIS) Must be available for on call support of 24x7 operation rotation Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, Active Directory, SSL, VPN/Cisco Pix, IIS/SMS/WSUS, MS SQL, Cisco VoIP Experience with MS Server 2008/2010/2012, Exchange 2010/2013, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, NetApp. 7+ years' experience managing corporate IT infrastructure for a medium to large organization, including Active Directory, IIS, Sharepoint Microsoft certification (MCSA or MCSE) highly desired Strong scripting and automation experience (BASH, PHP, VB, PERL, Python) highly desired Understanding of IT management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, FCAPS, etc.) a plus Demonstrated understanding of key desktop and server technologies – Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/8 Excellent communication and documentation skills Must be able to lift 30lbs. comfortably and sit/stand for extended periods of time Aptitude for learning. Strong Interpersonal skills Strong ability to work with minimal supervision Strong ability to follow written procedures and meeting timelines Excellent organization skills Experience in Banking Technology Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills Windows system administration experience, both server and desktop Experience designing and managing servers and other data center technologies Strong verbal and written communication Project management skills Technical abilities appropriate to responsibilities |
