They must have healthcare industry background – claims processing systems knowledge strongly desired.

Job Description

·         Senior SQL developer position within the Data Mining department.

·         Requires a motivated individual with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

·         Looking for someone that understands and/or has an interest in big data (billions of rows of data). \Requires SQL performance focused individuals.

Job Responsibilities

·         Responsible for writing efficient SQL queries on large data sets

·         Should be able to analyze requirements and implement queries using SQL best practices and follow departmental standards of writing and documenting (inline) well-formed code

·         Work with business analysts, IT Infrastructure and IT Operations as needed to define and refine requirements

Job Requirement

·         5+ experience in SQL Server 2008 R2/ SQL Server 2012

·         Strong understanding of relational database concepts

·         Strong understanding of SQL indexes and fine tuning for optimal performance

·         Familiarity with SQL concepts such as partitioning and indexing

·         Ability to troubleshoot

·         Knowledge of Healthcare insurance claims processing / claims processing systems (strongly desired)

·         Experience with SSIS

·         Experience with Python a big plus

·         Experience with Microsoft Excel, C#, VB.Net, VS or Access a plus
