Position: Software Cloud Architect

Location: Downtown in Boston MA

Duration: one year contract (also open to See below for details or direct hire)

Keys:

• Must have experience developing applications to microservices in the cloud (kubernetes, docker, containers)
• Must have Java, Spring Framework,

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of development and architecture experience in Java
• 2+ years of experience with modular, lightweight, event-driven Microservice architectures on a JVM stack
• 2+ years of experience with 'Web scale' architecture design patterns and supporting cloud infrastructures
• 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery using modern DevOps tools and workflows such as git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins
• 4+ years of experience with agile development (Scrum, Kanban, etc) and Test Automation (behavior, unit, integration testing)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with testing using TDD or BDD with 1 or more testing frameworks (e.g. Mocha/Chai, Jasmine)
• Experience in utilizing Promise pattern, Observables or Reactive Programming (RX)
• Experience with NoSQL Cassandra and MongoDB
• Experience with implementing run-time architecture services (caching, logging, etc)
• Experienced with Platforms as a Service such as Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, etc.
• Experience with Functions as a Service and Server-Less architectures such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions
• Installation, configuration and development including work within a production environment
• Experience in Performance tuning
• Experience with defining and creating methodologies, service offerings
• Experience in defining one or more following architecture aspects: Availability, Cloud Traffic Management, Maintainability, Operability, Scalability and Portability
• Experience with deploying container based applications using tools such as Docker
• Experience architecting API centric solutions
