Job Description

 

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also has the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.

 

Position Description

 

The Software Developer will be primarily responsible for the definition and hands-on development of holistic web based software solutions using primarily Microsoft technologies including Microsoft .NET / C#, SQL Server, HTML/JavaScript, and others.  The Software Developer will participate in most stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, including software development, quality assurance, and deployment.  This position requires strong communication skills and solution focus, and will involve a high level of collaboration with other team members.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1.     Software Development: Perform hands-on development and unit testing of web based software solutions primarily based on Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint.

2.     Requirements Consumption: Ability to gain a deep understanding of written and verbal business requirements provided by team members.

3.     Quality Assurance: Actively participate in quality assurance, including hands-on system testing of the software developed when required.

4.     Implementation and Support: Software deployments and ongoing software support.

 

Required Experience / Skills

 

• Experience as a software developer focused on web applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Thrives in a fast-paced / small development team environment.
• Interested in ideation and delivery of holistic business solutions.
• Ability to understand complex data models that contain high levels of abstraction.
• Database development skills in Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to develop complex and efficient SQL Queries.
• Microsoft .Net /C# development skills primarily in web based applications.
• Experience with design and development of web user interfaces using the following technologies: AJAX, DHTML, JavaScript, Document Object Model (DOM), and JSON
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
