Role Description (Main Activities / Duties / Responsibilities):

Support of ADP US Payroll Tax Filings This includes coordinating issue resolution with the US Payroll Tax department and ADP to ensure updates to tax filing processes are reviewed, the impact understood, installed, fully tested and deployed in coordination with the Oracle Administration team. Vertex US Payroll Tax Engine This includes coordinating the collection of US Payroll tax rate updates from Vertex; reviewing them with Payroll Tax department; understanding the impact to US Payroll; ensuring the updates are installed, fully tested and deployed in coordination with the Oracle Infrastructure Support team. US Payroll Tax Support This is general daily support of the GO US Payroll Tax team to troubleshoot issues as reported. These areas include Payroll Tax processing, garnishment processing, W-2 processing, etc... US Affordable Health Care Act Interface support This is support of the interface files that provide data to Buck Consulting for filing of data to the US Government necessary for the US Affordable Health Care Act (Obama Care). Four Star Support This is a home grown application that was initially developed to store US Benefits data. It is no longer updated but the application is supported in a reporting and view-only mode US Kronos Payroll Integration Support This is support of the processes that integrate the Kronos Timecard data for US based implementations to the Oracle Payroll system. General US Payroll and US Benefits Support This is general daily support of the GO US Payroll and US Benefits departments troubleshoot issues as reported. New enhancement and project requests These include acquisitions, divestitures, change in benefit vendors, new business processes, outsourcing of business functions, business process enhancements, etc.… Basically any request the HR business might come forward with. Also keep in mind that the only developers within the HRIT reside on my team. So we also support any development needed by other HR departments that we don't directly support. (Comp Work bench, global acquisitions, interfacing HR data to non-Payroll/Benefits 3rd party vendors, etc...) Oracle HR Patching Support Oracle HR is patched on average 5 times per year. Patching support involves staying current with latest information from Oracle and coordinating patching iterations and testing with Oracle Infrastructure Support, the HR users and HRIT. It also involves evaluating the effect patching has on PPG customizations, testing, and making any necessary code changes. Off-hours support to monitor, test and sign-off on patching activities. Disaster Recovery Testing This annual process is the coordination between HRIT, Oracle Infrastructure Support, CCS and Payroll operations to configure and test the DR environment as well as address any issues. Annual Password Changes This is the support of the annual process to analyze and change HR database users and access for Oracle HR, Four Star and Global Repository. It also involves the coordination between other HRIT team members, Oracle Infrastructure Support, the CC and other IT teams to communicate new passwords, testing and timelines. Infrastructure Support Each year there are multiple 'Infrastructure' projects that occur. Database upgrades, OS upgrades, Hardware Upgrades, etc. The support for these projects will vary, but support of these tasks is the coordination with Oracle Infrastructure Support, HRIT and the Users; creation and execution of test plans; Troubleshooting and development; and Implementation.
