Oracle Financials Consultant
Duration: 3-6 months
Location: Philadelphia ,PA
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE with PA, AR, AP, and GL modules.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Oracle System Configuration Analyst, reporting to the Configuration Manager, will be responsible for the support and maintenance of system configuration, user management and documentation for the Oracle E-business suite The individual will work closely with our support & development teams to enhance and improve the modules as well as trouble shoot and problem solve any issues that arise. This role provides first and second line technical support for system configuration that impacts all Oracle modules. The Configuration Analyst will be responsible for updating and maintaining the system configuration documents for the Oracle E-business suite.
A system configuration analyst is required to be highly focused and as part of the global team, will assist the team in resolution of technical issues, customer liaison, and general support administration.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Experience with the Oracle E business suite. Specifically the PA, AR, AP, and GL modules. The resource will be responsible for configuration and production support for these modules
· BR100 maintenance and Updates: User must have strong organizational skills and Strong skills in Excel and Word. SharePoint knowledge is a plus
· Responsible for working Answer Key (case management system) tickets for production issues.
· May also be responsible for creating JIRA (SDLC management application ) tickets for production issues and working with the development team to get data fixes and new requirements tested, signed off and migrated to production
· User Management: will be responsible for creating and updating menus, functions, profile options and updating or creating roles
· Workflows: Monitor workflow queues and resolve errors
· Be an active participant of the Production Support Team with a focus on system config items.
· Will be required to work with the end users, with other Oracle and Support personnel, with the Technical Support Teams.
· Will troubleshoot issues to determine root cause of the problem and a recommended solution that would be within the standards and guidelines. This includes a full test of the recommended solution to ensure the outcome is accepted by the business before moving it to the production environment.
· This role requires critical thinking, extensive problem solving skills, and the ability to research an issue to determine the root cause.
· Must be able to work on their own and initiate efforts to find the problem and implement resolution, as well as work in a team environment for knowledge sharing.
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS /QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in a business or computer related field preferred, but will consider applicants with equivalent relevant, work-related experience.
· Minimum 5+ years functional experience with the Oracle E business suite. Specifically the PA, AR, AP, and GL modules
· Good understanding of information systems and their relationship to business functions
· Ability to work under pressure and hit deadlines.
· Able to have a flexible work schedule in order to provide support for critical processing times and closing cycles.
· Familiarity working with Accounting principles is a must
· Excellent written and verbal communication are required
· Must have ability to work autonomously and proactively
