Business Objects 4.0 Consultant/Administrator

 

The Business Objects 4.0 Consultant/Administrator will be responsible for Installation for BO 4.0 as well as migration from BO XIR2 to BO 4.0. The BO Administrator/Developer will be capable of supporting all in scope activities

Expected Experience and Skill:

1.     Minimum experience of 9 years

2.     Knowledge of Business Object 4.0 implementation and features/functions.

3.     Experience in migrating BO application from XIR2/XIR3 to BO 4.0.

4.     Experience in migration/upgrades of Business Objects versions and new server builds.

5.     Technology/Platform: 5+ years with Business Objects Administration on XI R2/R3 versions

6.     Deep knowledge about SAP Business Objects BI platform fundamentals and technologies

7.     High Volume/Global implementations (Over 4K users and 90 K reports)

8.     Technology Platform Database  experience with Oracle/Teradata Implementations

 

Roles and Responsibilities

           

1.     Installation and upgrading Business Objects 4.0

2.     Migrating existing application from BO XIR2 to BO 4.0

3.      Experience in configuring BO cluster at CMS level and Tomcat level.

4.     Experience and knowledge of Deski to Webi conversion.

5.     Configuring security structure for BO 4.0

6.     Implementation and functional knowledge of LCM, Translation management tool, Webi Rich client.

7.     Implantation and functional knowledge of solution manager in BO 4.0 version

8.     Load testing and performance tuning of BO service - RAS, Webi, Deski, and Job services

9.      Good knowledge in Single Sign On configuration Experience with complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

10.  Solid experience downloading and applying Business Objects fix packs and upgrades.

11.  Experience in BO architecture, migrations and upgrades.

12.  Prepare and Install on different machines with New and Expanded installation types to include Clustered Central Management Server (CMS) machines.

13.  Performing Server Management Tasks, using Central Configuration Manager (CCM) and Central Management Console (CMC).

14.  Configuration of overall BOE 4.0 system environment including capacity analysis and planning, performance tuning, auditing, and optimization.

15.  Develops roadmap for BOE addressing functionality, hardware sizing, security, performance, backup and recovery, disaster planning, and storage needs.

16.  Evaluate features in new product versions and assess impact and improvements to product development and delivery
