This is a great opportunity for an experienced and innovative Sr Business Analyst who would like to work in a Enterprise Data Warehouse Group. As a member of the Team, they will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with other very bright individuals working on new and exciting projects. This is a highly visibility position requiring interaction with all levels of management and supporting both the business and technology groups. Project Managers that were previously Business Analysts and willing to fulfill the job requirements are welcome as the position will include PM responsibilities and offer growth opportunities.
Required Skills:
The candidate must have Commercial Insurance background. They must be able to function independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and flexible to adapt as the projects evolve. Must be proficient at translating business needs to technical requirements and highly experienced in requirements gathering, system and workflow analysis, functional specifications, use-case writing, process and design diagrams and proficient with MS Project, Visio and Excel.
Technical skills and Responsibilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
• Proficient at creating all SDLC documents including gathering and writing functional and system design specifications for reporting and data solutions
• Experience in Data warehousing and Reporting Systems.
• Specify, and conduct, the analysis using appropriate tools/techniques, and deliver high quality analysis work to the business users, along with actionable insights and recommendations
• Full life cycle methodology including change management processes and ensuring changes are properly tested and migrated to production
• Familiarity with relational databases and software development tools and methodologies
• Provide direction to resources, monitor development efforts, assemble key project deliverables, report project status, and raise awareness on issues requiring escalation
• Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Professional, energetic and self-motivated with a well defined work ethic
• Must be familiar with technology concepts and terminology
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Visio
• Bachelor's Degree with 6-15 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst
