Role: Java Developer / Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 12 Months

 

Job Description:

·         Sales Analytics Java Architect/Developer .

·         The Analytics Application is a Teradata backend with a Java based front end.

·         This architect/developer is one of 3 people who are responsible for design and development of the GUI and mobile solution based on screen designs provided by the Application Functional Designer.

·         The position requires participation in all phases of the lifecycle, including design, architecture, development, testing, support and documentation.

·         Primary responsibility is for the GUI environment which is Java, Javascript, DOJO, struts 2, Spring, AJAX on a weblogic server.

·         Unix and SQL are needed for interaction with the Teradata database backend.

·         In addition, the Architect/developer is responsible for support and maintenance of the web based server infrastructure.

·         The Architect/developer will report to the Development Manager.

·         This is a long term contract to perm position.

·         This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small Client development team on a world class web based analytics application.

·         The successful candidate will be very sharp and able to learn quickly.

·         On this small team everyone will be expected to serve in a variety of roles.

·         2+ years experience with Java, Javascript, DOJO, struts 2, Spring, AJAX on a weblogic server.

·         1+ years experience with SQL (needed for interaction with the Teradata database backend)

·         Prefer some experience with subversion, Eclipse,

·         Prefer some experience with Mobile development on Android or iPhone

 

2+ years experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Service:

·         2+ years of Unix (ex, Bash, Cshell, KShell or Pearl) scripting language.

·         2+ years of experience in application performance testing.

·         2+ WebLogic Application Server administration (install and configurations)

·         2+ iPlanet Web Server administration (install and configurations)

·         1+ years of ANT experience with a working knowing of writing ANT scripts.

·         Ability to code quickly and efficiently in a very fast paced environment.

·         Excellent team skills and communication skills.

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills

·         Able to learn quickly and independently

·         Able to work with little direction and self motivated.

·         Exceptional English speaking and writing skills (the candidate must be able to be clearly understood over the phone).
