Position Title : Quality Assurance Analyst- Automation
Location : Uniondale, NY, US
Duration : 6+ Months
Detailed Description
Responsible for achieving all testing requirements including:
· Write, maintain and execute automated test scripts through software product upgrades.
· In-depth failure analysis performed against thousands of automated test executions.
· Work with the development team to understand how changes in the software product affect maintenance of test scripts and the QA automated testing environments.
• Document, report and failure analyze test results related to energy and financial markets.
• Participate in projects related to offshore consultants automated testing initiatives.
• Convert manual test plans to automated test scripts.
• Assist members of the QA staff with various automation related challenges.
• Coordinate and lead the rollout of automated environment application upgrades.
• Work closely with the development staff to ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow up on outstanding defects to determine the impact on maintenance releases of code.
Position- II
Job Title : QA Analyst- Manual
Location : Uniondale, NY, US
Duration : Long Term
Job Description:
Employee position for hands-on software QA of client/server application.
Detailed Description
The position requires previous exposure to financial or commodity markets, treasury operations or accounting processes. This candidate will prepare test plans and conduct functional tests to meet project testing requirements and other quality assurance considerations. This individual will work closely with the development group to ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Qualified applicants should be detailed oriented, self-motivated and capable of learning about our products and related technologies. (e.g. databases).
Testing responsibilities include: creating and executing test plans, documenting test results, validating software fixes, investigating new functionality, meeting with development staff, maintaining automated test cases and failure analysis.
Job Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in business or technical discipline.
• Ability to communicate with both technical (developers) and non-technical (customers, management).
• Ability to multi-task and keep track of several projects at a single time.
• Must be enthusiastic and willing to take on projects with little overall guidance.
• Strong communication and written skills a must.
• Candidates must be willing to submit a writing sample.
• Should have 3 years of previous experience and be proficient with quality assurance concepts and test automation.
• PC skills for Windows including Word and Excel are required.
• Exposure to software release/build process/SDLC required.
• Client/server testing environment a plus.
• Knowledge of financial or energy related products also a plus.
Position- III
Position: QA Analyst
Location: Englewood Cliff, NJ
Duration: 6 mths+
Rate: Open
Required Qualifications:
• BS/MS degree or equivalent
• Strong experience in testing one or more of the following
o Market data
o Real-time market data application(s) (Reuters Trader, Thomson One, Bloomberg);
o News/Video/Quote feeds
• Quality Assurance experience testing Real-Time graphics; Strong manual testing background with one or more of the following
o On-Air/TV applications
o Interactive TV and media feeds
o Application testing experience with emerging technologies like Internet connected TV's, Blu-Ray Player, Set Top Boxes etc
• Video testing experience
o on various platforms (Live Video and Video on Demand)
o Flash Video players (Live and On-demand)
• Experience in testing any/some of the following:
o Application like Search, Comments, Video, etc
o Content Management System (like Drupal, MS Workbench)
o SEO, Ads and Metrics tracking
• Quality Assurance experience testing web- based software products and Backend applications
• Experience in any/some of the following:
o Web services and database testing
o Any of the automation tools like QTP or RFT or any open source tool
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong process skills; knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Understanding of Financial Markets: equities, fixed income, derivatives, and commodities
• Comfortable interacting and communicating with people at various levels within the organization.
• Must be able to work independently and possess effective time management skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
• Intermediate to advanced skills in writing test scripts using automated testing tools such as HP QTP or Rational or any Open source tools
• Experience in managing software testing in an Agile (Scrum) development environment
• Self motivated, pro-active team player
