Position: Senior IT Project Manager            

Location: Alexandria, VA

Duration: 3-6 Months

Role Summary

Client is looking for an experienced IT project manager to oversee the planning and implementation of a critical, complex IT initiative including:

•              Web Content Management migration to new .NET platform

•              Rollout of a new Map user map based on Google Maps technology

•              Migration of a legacy social network user base to new web Community solution

•              Integration to Salesforce CRM

Responsibilities

•              Manage efforts of outside development and professional services groups as well as internal teams and product vendors.  

•              Develop detailed project implementation plans, schedule, resource plans, and status reports.

•              Conduct project meetings 

•              Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

•              Recommends and drives the analysis and solutions of problems.

•              Oversee development of test  plan and execution

•              Lead all aspects of web migration project including

·         Planning and timeline estimation

·         Development

·         Integration

·         Testing

·         Rollout planning

·         Customer migration planning and execution

•              Facilitate business and technical design sessions, data conversion planning and case model design.

•              Identifying and mitigating risks and escalating when necessary

Skills & Experience Desired

•            Strong understanding of various software development processes, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management

•            Experience managing cross-functional team resources and their deliverables

•            5+ years working in IT in a cross-functional role interfacing with sales, marketing, or other business functions

•            3+ years of full lifecycle project management experience (CRM or CMS projects preferred) leading cross functional projects - PMP certification desired

•            Experience managing 3rd-party development vendors in a project context, including virtual teams

•            Proven knowledge of the software and systems development life cycle; experience with enterprise-level integrations involving business-critical systems

•            Experience with business analysis, business process design, uses case development, and/or end user training is preferred
