Job Description : Fox Digital Media is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join the Engineering Operations Department, a division of the Web Solutions team. The mandate of the Engineering Operations team is to oversee the execution around the security, process, performance, quality, and infrastructure of the full suite of web applications built and/or supported by FDM. The Digital Media arm of Fox is a fast paced environment, moving to support the many high traffic digital counterparts of the broadcast channels. As such, the ideal candidate will need to possess a combination of a strong technical skill set as well as good organizational skills. Developing applications to monitor changes to systems Build and maintain security audit dashboard to track and monitor Audit compliance Identify code deficiencies around performance and recommend improvements Define coding best practices and present recommendations to teams for improvements Installation, configuration, monitoring and response to security system Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards Define and write QA automation test scripts Assist with the selection and implementation of load balancing tools and performance test tools Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of security vulnerability and performance in the testing and production application environments Assist in defining and recommending improvements for web sites and web application development practices Support day-to-day issues around environment improvement monitoring and development related to performance and security
Experience : 5+ years of experience in information technology with an emphases on security 5+ years of php/Java object oriented development
Education : BS Degree in Computer Science or computer related field
