EDI Sterling Developer
Responsibilities:

. Participate in meetings to determine requirements and scope.
. Partner with other application development teams in validating cross-functional impacts.
. Assist in the creation of functional design deliverables.
. Complete detailed and technical design deliverables.
. Code, test, document, and implement enhancements and corrections. (high complexity levels)
. Identify and resolve system issues using application knowledge and technical expertise.
. Monitor and resolve system performance issues.
. Assist with the creation and execution of test plans.
. Participate in the generation of user documentation.
. Report to Manager weekly on status of development/maintenance projects.

 

Required Skills:

 

A high level of expertise and experience with the following... . Functional knowledge of retail transportation / logistics. . Proven knowledge of EDI protocols, transactions, methods, tools, business processes. o Protocols : ANSI X12 and EDIFACT o Transaction Sets : Logistics, Customs, and Finance - 214, 315, 350, 810, 820, 831, 850, 856, 857, 861, 997 - BANSTA, CONTRL, DESADV, INVOIC, ORDERS, ORDRSP, PAYMUL o Communication methods : VAN, AS2, FTP / SFTP, HTTP / HTTPS, JDBC o Tools : Gentran Integration Suite / Sterling Integrator 5.0 (UNIX) o Mapping / Modeling : Sterling Map Editor, GPM (Graphical Process Modeler) o Languages : BPML (Business Process Modeling Langage), XML, JAVA, SQL o Operating Systems / Databases : Unix, Oracle . Working knowledge of SAP and IDOCs a plus but not required.

 

Role:- EDI Consultant

Location:- Franklin Lakes, NJ

Duration:- 6 month

·         Mapping, testing, implementing, maintaining, documenting and troubleshooting of EDI transactions within Gentran & SAP

·         Provide daily EDI operational production support for EDI and business users

·         Provid some off hours support on a rotating basis with EDI team

·         Maintain a high level of customer service, and provide creative solutions to develop/improve processes.

·         Setup of communications via AS2, VAN, FTPS

·         Setup of SAP partner profiles & output determination

·         SAP testing of inbound & outbound transactions
