Job Description

 

Role: Category Manager

 

•        Responsible for managing spend in a number of categories/ Subcategories for one or more clients

•        Responsible for generation of savings opportunities, driving initiatives for savings, implementing results and managing categories during agreement periods

•        Client Interfacing and Client Stakeholder Management

•        Supplier management and Interaction

•        Other various procurement related activities A category Manager role needs to be physically close to the client's stakeholders to be able to Identify Opportunities, generate savings, drive change and to establish strong relationship with client. The Category manager also needs to interact with Suppliers for an effective Supplier relationship management where needed.
