EXPERIENCE:

At least 6-10 years working experience in SAP BI (BW) development environment

7+ years in Information Systems related experience

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline

The Senior SAP BI / BW Developer, Performance Tuning and Production Support candidate will provide technical design, development, implementation and support for Client Business Intelligence/Analytical solution.  A successful candidate will be able to think proactively and provide value to the organization by contributing to the team's goal of building a robust, scalable integration solution for our global IT initiatives.  They will collaborate with technical and functional teams to define strategy and plan for SAP implementations and upgrades

The incumbent will work closely with other Developers, Administrators, Technical Resources, and Functional team members as part of the Technology Team

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

   Senior BI Developer with excellent Performance Tuning skills & experience, Production Support  as well as, good ABAP Development skills.

·         Ability to deliver the BI work products such as: SAP data solutions, data mapping and design, data load procedures, conduct product reviews, work closely with the Business to ascertain requirements, creation of InfoCubes and Queries, etc.

·         Responsible for the design and development of data models, data flow diagrams, extractors, reports, performance monitoring/tuning and testing.

·         Individual will collaborate directly with Business Users and various Technical Teams in order to enhance the SAP BI/BW Enterprise Data Warehouse data and report capabilities.

·         Work with internal customers to analyze and translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications, data flow diagrams and data models.

·         Implement SAP standard content where possible to satisfy Business requirements or enhance/customize where necessary.

·         Design and develop extractors, DSO's, cubes and reports including the use of ABAP where necessary.

·         Perform and coordinate appropriate activities with various Technical Leads on other teams such as Unix Admin, Database Admin, Basis Admin and SAP ECC Application Development teams.

·         Participate in the creation of BI/BW development standards while adhering to Department policies, methodologies, standards and guidelines.

·         Provide implementation support for new deployments.

·         Proactively and effectively communicate potential problems, recommended solutions and progress.

·         Actively work with more junior members of the team as well as consultants to drive major projects to successful completion

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

·         Hands-on experience using SAP's Business Warehouse in areas such as Extractors for master data and transaction data, PSA,'s, DSO's, InfoCubes, InfoQueries, InfoSets, ABAP/4 and BEx reporting.

·         Experience with SAP BO Data Services, SAP-Portal and APO is a plus.

·         Must possess a solid understanding of all facets of SAP BI including data acquisition, transformation, loading, data modeling, query definition, web application designer, report designer and performance tuning.

·         Experience in requirements gathering and interpretation in a business intelligence environment ABAP and JavaScript skills preferred

·         Sr. Performance Tuning & Production Support skills and experience a must!

         This position is best suited for someone possessing SAP BI Reporting experience

      Candidates must also possess good organization, communication and facilitation skills along with a desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

·         Prior experience in major software development activities.

·         Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills

·         Ability to manage own time based on prioritization.
