We have  new opening for Java programmer in Milwaukee, WI on a 3-month project.

 

Our client is re-writing their current online billing system, changing from a proprietary vendor package to a new application written in house using open source tools. Requirements for the project are defined and back-end web services are near completion. Remaining tasks are development of the front end user interface and several levels of testing.  For the remaining tasks, they're adopting an agile approach to development.

We're looking for expert JavaEE programmers, specifically expert java coders to augment the existing team of developers. The environment has multiple layers - HTML, application service, web service, hibernate, legacy database. They're developing using an Eclipse environment on a JBoss server and the toolset includes java, JQuery, REST services, JSF, and JSP.  They're building a foundation for well-written, object-oriented code that is easily maintainable and which will increase the time to market for future projects.

Candidate must have 10+ years of experience. In addition, all candidates should be quick learners and demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to speak with clients using business terms. They should be able to collaborate with clients and with internal IT resources to find solutions which meet the business need, and which are effective, accurate, and maintainable. They should be able to work well independently with minimal guidance as well as in team settings. Excellent communication skills are a must.

jQuery, jQuery Form, jQuery Easing
ActionScript Event-driven programming (a plus, not required)
AJAX
Servlets 3.0 and JSP 2.2

Seam 2.2 or 3.0
CDI
JAX-WS 2.2 with JBoss 6
JAX-RS 1.1 with RestEasy
EJB 3.x
Hibernate 3.x and JPA 2.0

JBoss 6.x
JUnit 4, DBUnit, Selenium

Eclipse Indigo 3.7 and JBoss Tools 3.3
