Duration: 3 months plus
Location: Willowbrook, IL
Client looking for someone to create a launcher (For your information application a "Launcher" is a is a specialized application that gets run when the unit boots up and displays the background and available application icons). They someone that can help them understand Android as well as not need any technical guidance.
Java/Android/Launcher requirements
Job Description:
Design, build and test complex Android apps using Java and the Android SDK for various interfaces including phones and tablets.
Work with a highly talented group of engineers to build innovative applications for the Android platform.
Write and execute unit tests for written code.
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical documentation.
Qualifications
1+ year of hands-on Android App development.
5+ years development experience using Java.
At least one demonstrable App for Android in which you were a main contributor.
Experience with the Android UI Layout, Database, Multi-Threaded, and Android Framework.
Experience designing and implementing a Android launcher.
Experience with UI and OO design and development.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and team skills in small agile development groups.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or equivalent degree or experience).
