Job Description:
The selected analyst will be assigned to a 3 year initiative building a next-generation cloud-based system that will deliver computerized assessments tests to K-12 students in 14 states.
This role will involve:
• Participating in design discussions, negotiating with stakeholders to drive project strategy, and documenting milestones.
• Assisting Product Managers with the development of product roadmaps and project planning.
• Business process analysis, workflow design, data analysis, user interface design, documenting requirements with user stories, writing test cases and unit testing.
• Working to ensure milestones are understood and development, project management, business and other teams are on track to meet those goals.
• Keep the 'big picture' view close at hand and keep the team on track.
Business Analyst Qualifications
This is a small team and this person will play a key role in keeping all the moving parts of the project going in the right direction. This person should be able to think quickly, be aggressive, and improvise as necessary. The selected candidate will have a very visible role in this project so they will need to be able to interact with a variety of people within the organization and adapt their style to different personalities.
Qualifications will include:
• 3 years experience serving in a dedicated Business Analyst role.
• Experience as a business analyst or project manager with agile methodologies.
• A strong understanding of web-based application delivery.
• Good UI design skills.
• A Bachelor degree in communications, business management, computer science or software engineering, preferably with an emphasis on business applications (strongly preferred).
They must be able to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise way across functional and technical departments. They should be process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment. They should be energetic, driven and committed to project success while working under tight time constraints and pressure. --
