Senior .NET Developer with WPF
Contract Duration: 6+ months

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Hands on extensive experience with .Net/ C#, WPF, including experience with testing frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, etc.
- Software development experience with XAML in WPF
- Strong object-oriented design and programming skills with good understanding of multiple design patterns, (MVVM, MVC)
- Sound grasp of core C# fundamentals in collections, garbage collection, events and delegates, multi-threading, dependency injection frameworks, (MEF) and generics.
- Experience developing common components that can be compiled into both WPF and from the same code a plus
- Working experience in Agile/Scrum based project with TDD (Test Driven Development) is a plus
- Experience in financial services industry highly desired
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Description:
As Senior .NET Developer, individual will play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise investment management solutions. The role will work closely with investment professionals, business analysts, as well as various technology disciplines in a highly visible and aggressive iterative delivery model. A qualified candidate will be bright, highly motivated, self-starting, able to lead diversified & dynamic team, as well as work productively on independent assignments; Incumbent will be well versed in financial domain concepts, with a track record of designing and delivering software components using Microsoft .Net technologies. Additionally, this individual is a skilled engineer capable of moving seamlessly between iterative prototyping and enterprise strength application development.
While delivery may involve automating or engineering, it will also come in the form of troubleshooting and support, reverse engineering requirements and documentation. The demands are dynamic, thus a comfort level working across technologies and with ambiguous requirements is essential.
This role requires extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft's leading client side .NET technologies like WPF, ideally with financial industry exposure.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work in a highly productive, agile, project delivery environment that includes business, project managers, track leads, architects, analysts, user experience designers, quality assurance engineers, and developers
- Participate in the design and development of .NET & WPF application components
- Work across peer groups to resolve and understand complex technical/design issues
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Develop, document and communicate technical design artifacts within the team
- Develop programmatic unit tests for all code developed, understands continuous integration and uses the defined process for it
- Performs technical and functional analysis under the supervision of a senior technical lead
Demonstrated experience working in Agile project teams and Agile processes for estimation, development and testing
