Technical Skills Required              

Basic (Minimum) Qualifications:

6+ years of production support experience

5+ years SQL Server, OLAP experience and competency

T-SQL stored procedure development, analysis, and troubleshooting, performance and tuning

Experience with VLDB

Knowledge of Windows 2003 / 2008 server and IIS and .NET

Knowledge of basic networking and hardware (F5) load balancing

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (or equivalent additional industry experience)

 

Functional Skills Required             

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with performance tuning, failover technologies and strategies

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technology and software including Windows, IIS, SQL, ASP/ASP .NET, SharePoint 2007 / 2010

In depth knowledge of C#, HTML, Silverlight and CSS

Implementation and support of a Content Management System SQL Administration including performance tuning and data analysis

Database implementation, DB internals

MCSE, MCDBA, MCPITDBA or equivalent work experience/training

Basic networking and hardware load balancing experience

MS in computer science, information systems or engineering

Experience working in a 24X7 environment

Knowledge of software lifecycle methodology and Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF)

A passion for customer support

 

Deliverables      

- Thorough understanding of service management foundations such as ITIL or MOF

- Ability to analyze live-site issues quickly and possess a thorough understanding of client/server architectures and high-availability clustered environments

- Outstanding customer service/focus and communication skills

- You must possess knowledge in monitoring tools and configuring them, such as MOM/SCOM/Gomez/Keynote

- Demonstrated ability in implementing and supporting multi-tiered, leading edge technology at an enterprise scale

- Conduct root cause analysis and provide report to management.

- Track and report availability metrics for the responsible applications

- Collaborate across various teams within and outside the organization to drive issue resolution and best practices implementation.

- Prior practical experience with change control, source control, disaster recovery and backup strategies required

- You must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a critical thinker, with excellent oral and written communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to define and follow best practices and business processes

- A BS/MS in computer science, information systems, and engineering and/or equivalent industry experience required
