DETAILS:

Position: Sr. Java UI Web Developer

Location: San Diego, CA

Duration: Long term (Contract to hire)

Interview: Telephonic + Skype

 

Our client builds fast, responsive, user focused web applications using JavaScript, PHP, CSS3, and HTML(5). They are looking for a developer that can build high quality, user focused, web applications where the user and the UI are the most critical components.

 

They are looking for an expert developer with a deep background in developing web applications utilizing JavaScript and PHP5.  You should have a good deal of experience and skill turning designs into production reality using hand written CSS/HTML with cross-browser/platform support. 

 

You need to have a very solid understanding and experience with object oriented code/programming/principles with high coding standards.  Experience with unit testing and TDD is preferred.

 

An understanding of and actual coding experience (whether personal or professional) with CSS3 and HTML5 is preferred.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment is preferred.

Manager's notes:

Manager really like to see people who have developed websites targeting mobile/touch devices.  Also (at the least) personal experience with CSS3/HTML5. 

He likes people who are actually interested in front-end technology and like to research/experiment with different frameworks & open-source projects.

 

I'd say I'm looking for someone that is front-end focused but still with some good experience with PHP5.

 

  At least a little PHP5 is preferred.  If they are just an awesome JavaScript and CSS whiz, it may be enough.
