Job Title:            QA Tester/Analyst (Face TO Face Interview after Telephonic)

Job Location:     Newton | MA                                                                        

Duration:             6 Months

 

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, or Senior QA Engineer, the Contract Quality Assurance Engineer will test the quality of data and applications prior to implementation of various projects. Document results of tests and review any bugs with developers for resolution. Collaborate with developers early on in the testing process to develop and write test cases and scripts. Perform functional, integration and system testing of a healthcare related data warehouse. The individual will foster positive relationships and communicate effectively in order to facilitate appropriate changes, particularly as they relate to quality issues. The Contract Quality Assurance Engineer will help to develop procedures for validating installation of open-source products.

                                                                                                            

Additionally, the incumbent will implement checklists prior to clients receiving prototypes and help to develop benchmarks to track and measure progress. This position requires a technical and analysis background. The Contract Quality Assurance Engineer will need the ability to communicate well with diverse staff at all levels and to problem solve effectively to optimize productivity and efficiency on various projects.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, plus 2-7+ years of QA Engineer experience.
• Knowledge of software testing processes and familiarity with QA reporting mechanisms
• Self-Starter, ability to work well independently, good problem-solver, strong analytical and organizational skills
• Familiarity with SQL, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
• Scripting Language, i.e., Perl, Unix Scripting, Java, etc., is a plus
• Must be logical, flexible, and have effective written and oral communication skills
• Experience in the healthcare field is preferred
