This position will start off working with a Senior Manager/ Testing SME to assess the  client's environment (processes and technology) in order to determine how to set up testing with appropriate metrics to ensure success moving forward during this long-term engagement.   

After completion of the assessment, the job will require full-time, hands-on testing:  specifically developing test cases and executing manual functional tests.   At some point the client will choose to implement an automated testing tool wso the right person for this position needs to have previous experience working with major test automation tools (preferably the HP Suite & Open Source Tools).  The right person for this job must be able to escalate issues without hesitation. 

MANDATORY SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: 

Current experience as a testing lead or senior tester 

Experience helping to evaluate/assess testing environments to improve processes 

It is imperative to have a proactive, assertive personality so that when the client is not responding to requests for information, this person will seek them out and diplomatically work with them to get what they need in a timely manner. 

5 or more years experience with the following..... 

Creating test plans, test suites, and test cases. 

Executing tests, reporting and analyzing defects and leading root cause analysis efforts. 

Organizing tests in an effective and logical way. 

Creating actionable, high quality bug reports and generating reports on testing progress. 

Experience working in a mid to large sized corporate environment 

Experience performing manual functional testing for a variety of application platforms - most importantly  .NET and Mainframe (experience with automation is a plus).
