Position: .Net Developer

St. Paul, MN based company is looking for a .Net Developer for a key business project. Project position will be a part of team developing a world-class client-facing ordering platform.

 

· Windows .NET, WPF Developer with Net C#/SQL

· Strong background specifically around image handling

· Experience drawing graphical templates

· Expression Blend experienced is highly preferred

· Very good user interface and layout flow understanding

· Ability to coach mentor other developers in learning

 

The application will contain the product catalog from which the user can select a product then select various options to be applied to that product. Current developers are working on the product catalog portion of the app.

 

The Developer is someone who will write what client calls the "Image Editor". The Image Editor is where the product will be visually depicted. In most cases, the product will be dynamically drawn based on coordinates that will reside in the database. Some products will, due to their complex nature, be actual pre-created templates (likely pngs) that would be used rather than dynamically drawn. Once the user selects the product they will then be able to drag an image into the product in the Image Editor and will have a predefined set of functions they can perform on the image (or images if the product supports multiple images such as front and back of a card, multiple page books, images overlayed onto other images in multi-image products, etc.) Those functions include rotating the image, rotating the layout of the product, zooming in, zooming out, repositioning the image within the confines of the product, converting the image (onscreen only) to black and white. The Image Editor will also need to show things such as cut lines, fold lines, etc. all of which would be indicated in the data
