#1 Java & Web Services Developer for Telecom Network Applications

Client’s Network Application and Multimedia Services development group is seeking a highly experienced software engineer to develop next generation network service delivery frameworks and related applications. The candidate will collaborate in an Agile team of developers and testers to create and harness capabilities in the network and generate new or more efficient ways for customers to interact with these services through software. The individual must be very self motivated with broad development experience and a proven track record of results.  A passion for creativity and innovation is critical.

 

Responsibilities:

 

This person will be part of a highly focused team of software innovators who develop network applications and services using telecom technologies such as SIP, IMS, VoIP, etc. Network capabilities such as real-time call control, call feature interaction and multimedia messaging are made accessible through web portals, web services, message buses, etc.  The qualified candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment using Agile practices and be a self-starter. This person will design and develop new applications primarily in Java using XML, web & bus services, integrated with services from Oracle DBMS & Weblogic/OCCAS, Tibco, and other 3^rd parties. This is a highly distributed services oriented architecture (SOA). The person will interface frequently with product owners, architects and analysts to deliver solutions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, preferably with a Masters.

 

5-7 years experience designing and developing object oriented applications, web and/or client applications using Java & XML, web services & message buses in SOA environment.

 

3-5 years experience working in a telecommunications environment, especially in the area of call processing and messaging services using AIN or VoIP/IMS (SIP, SIP servlets, etc.).

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

Experience with several of the following: Weblogic/OCCAS, Tibco Bus, iBatis, Spring framework, Eclipse, Jakarta Apache commons, REST/SOAP Web services, Corba, Ajax, Oracle, Android, webRTC, HTML5.

Experience working in a product R&D environment evolving complex architectures and innovative services, ideally using Agile/Lean.

 

 

#2  Web Developer with HTML5 & Javascript

The candidate will collaborate in an Agile team of developers and testers to create and harness capabilities in the network and generate new or more efficient ways for customers to interact with these services through software. A strong understanding of customer experience and UX design is important. The individual must be very self motivated with broad development experience and a proven track record of results.  A passion for creativity and innovation is critical.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, preferably with a Masters.

 

5-7 years experience designing and developing web based client applications with web services API’s and must be proficient in HTML5 and Javascript, with a sense for UX design. Experience must include server side development, e.g. JSP or servlets using Tomcat or Jetty.

 

Desired Qualifications:
