Datastage Developer with (Health Care )

Duration :-  6+ month

Location :- Cypress, CA.

What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment?
- FTS (Financial Tagging System) in support of various Health Care Reform projects (HCR, EHB, 3R's)

Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team?
- Member of team (7 Onshore, 5 Offshore)

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?
- Modify, enhance, or create new DataStage jobs
- Receive files from source systems or extract data from source system tables
- Perform complex look-up in Oracle database tables to derive and assign additional fields and values
- Create output files (both detail and summary) and send to multiple recipients, or write output to source tables or internal tables.
- Create detail design documentation
- Discuss potential solutions to business requirements with other team members.
- Review Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Cases create by QA Team
- Identify Risks and/or Issues with projects and communicate to App Lead/Proj Mgr and App Dev Mgr.
- Review Project Plan with App Lead/Proj Mgr and make commitments to schedule.
- Attend Project Status Meetings and provide update on assigned project tasks.

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?
- DataStage, Linux/AIX, Oracle DB, C++, PL/SQL, TWS (Tivoli Job Scheduler)

What skills/attributes are a must have?
- DataStage development
- Oracle DB
- Experience building jobs/processes with DataStage including parallel processing

What skills/attributes are nice to have?
- Health Care
- Finanical/Accounting knowledge

What type of interview process is preferred?

- Initial Phone Interview, followed by face-to-face interview if applicable
