Role: Netcool Support/DevOps

Duration – more than 1 year

Location : Remotely anywhere in US

·         Experience with IBM Tivoli Netcool probes for Patrol, SNMP, Socket, and EMAIL. Must understand the probe rules language.

·         Experience supporting IBM Tivoli Netcool object servers in a multi-tier configuration.

·         Experience with IBM Tivoli Impact. Must understand the Impact policy language.

·         Experience with SNMP. Must understand SNMP trap processing and MIB files.

·         Experience with SQL with Oracle specific knowledge preferred.

·         Understanding of Patrol, Nagios, SiteScope, Introscope, and other monitoring tools that might need to interface with Netcool.

·         Background in UNIX with SA level experience preferred.

·         Background in scripting/programming languages. Should be able to program in multiple languages.

·         Understanding of ticketing procedures and methodology.

Custom Tools DevOps

·         Experience with multiple programming languages including Java, Groovy, and Scala.

·         Experience with using Gradle as a build tool.

·         Experience with JMS and must be able to program within a message driven system.

·         Experience with using the Java BMC Atrium CMDB API.

·         Experience with JDBC.

·         Experience with Spring.

·         Experience programming against a WSDL interface. Must be able to compile a definition file and use the resulting code in a Java program.

·         Experience with XML. Must be able to write a program to produce and consume XML against a WSDL definition when a compliable definition file does not exist.

·         Experience programming against a REST style interface.

·         Experience with CVS or SVN.

·         Experience with Grails, Rails, or other web framework.
