Project Scope
During the operational systems assessment phase
• Perform and document a high-level analysis of the current business and information technology (IT) processes, systems, and functionality
• perform and document a projection of the demand IT services will be required to meet during the next ten (10) year period
• perform and document a business process study and conceptual business process redesign
• develop Conceptual and Architectural Requirements Models that reflect the integration of all Operational Information Technology Systems
• perform and document a SWOT analysis focused on existing Operational capabilities, processes, and Information Technology Systems
• document and may be required to present the Operational Information Technology Systems Assessment to the leadership team
• Future Operational Information Technology Systems Phase Implementation planning and procurement phase
• conduct analysis and discussion sessions as required, and to client’s satisfaction, to analyze the results from the Assessment to define and document the Contractor’s future Operational Information Technology Systems solution proposal for the core Operational Information Technology Systems
• provide a documented future Operational Information Technology Systems solution proposal for the core Operational Information Technology Systems
• provide and execute a process for creating a shared understanding with stakeholders, including executive management, multiple levels of employees, and board members, of the challenges, risks, and rewards related to transitioning to the redesigned business processes and future Operational Information Technology Systems solution
• provide documentation explaining facts, analysis, and rationale used to form the future Operational Information Technology Systems Solution proposal
• Operational Information Technology Systems Modernization Plan Phase
• develop business requirements documentation of sufficient detail to be used as a foundation for the procurement and modernization process
• develop and document specific organizational readiness plans required to successfully transition to the future Operational Information Technology Systems solution
• provide extensive support and materials to develop and document the procurement plans required to successfully transition to the future Operational Information Technology Systems solution
• Operational Information Technology Systems Modernization Procurement Phase
• develop and write the procurement documents necessary to successfully procure all products and services required to execute the transition to the future Operational Information Technology Systems
• Implementation of the Operational Information Technology Systems
• Scope for this phase is not completely defined at this time
The responsibilities for this contract position include the following:
• The identification, coordination, and acquisition of project resources, as needed.
• Monitoring and reporting on the project schedule and delivery status, the quality of the deliverables, project issues and resolutions, and project risk status.
• The communication of project status to the Leadership Team.
• Holding status meetings weekly, and more frequently as necessary, throughout the term of this contract. These meetings will involve all appropriate resources the Senior Project Manager has identified for the specific phase of the project.
Skills Needed:
- Project Management experience on IT modernization projects
- PM experiences on operational systems replacement projects
- PM experience on IT systems integration projects
