Role: Linux/Unix Scripting & Administration
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $50/hour (Max)
Job Description:
Analyze Business Requirement Document (BRD) for development and Automations.
• Good knowledge on Unix/Linux shell scripting and SDLC.
• Good knowledge on Migration procedures and implementation of migration & change.
• Enhancement work of previously implemented scripts.
• Act as Point of contact for Linux/Unix technology when information is requested.
• Create Automations that can contribute to the improvement of the DataStage team response, resolution and reporting. [DataStage integrates data across multiple systems using a high performance parallel framework, and it supports extended metadata management and enterprise connectivity.]
• Develop scripts and Provide Automation for any requested requirement by the client using available programming and development tools.
• Providing knowledge transfer on the automations that are done to the team along with technical support when necessary.
• Weekly progress report on the automations and activities to the client manager.
• Communicate and advise the team about better solutions to achieve the result by system tweaks and optimization of the code.
• Prepare Test Metrics to report the progress and status of the development effort.
• Prepare Migration plan, Implementation plan, Test Plans, Test Strategy and Test estimation documents (Test Design and Execution) for the Developed scripts and automated scripts.
• Create System Testing (ST) test scenarios, test cases for scripts based on functional specification
• Review ST Test Scenarios and test cases that are created by team members.
• Assist team members in Automating everyday activities and review any automation done by the team.
• Execute test scripts that define specific test criteria and the expected results to be achieved.
• Coordinating the Automation effort with diverse groups of business, management, developers, other QA analysts and test teams at onshore.
