Position: PL/SQL & Data Warehousing Specialist
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Project Duration: 1-2 years
Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years proven experience with PL/SQL programming and Data Warehousing
Brief Summary of Assignment:
This position resides within the Business Processes' Record to Report (R2R) application support area. This consultant will begin working with the R2R team, in conjunction with the ERP development team, at the Penn Liberty Plaza location on the next plant deployment of the Hyperion Costing Analytics (HYC) application. This consultant will transition to working with R2R on the development of an Oracle data storage as part of a new LIFO/FIFO Inventory Valuation application.
R2R is in need of expert level PL/SQL skills to support and develop changes to the Oracle data repository within the HYC application. Expert level Data Warehousing and PL/SQL skills will be needed to lead development of a new Oracle data storage warehouse for the skills will be needed to lead development of a new Oracle data storage warehouse for the LIFO/FIFO application.
Major Responsibilities:
· Writing PL/SQL code and helping to tune where needed
· Designing and developing Oracle data storage for inventory valuation
· Understanding requirements and issues and working with R2R, ERP team, technical developers, DBAs, and Oracle Support to meet these requirements and resolve issues
· Performing thorough testing of application changes and adhering to standards and practices that met Quality Management and ISO standards
· Providing cross training to the R2R staff
Education/Experience:
· Bachelors degree
· The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience with PL/SQL programming and Data Warehousing
[The candidate must show competence in both the Personal and Technical skills (below) during an on-site or Bluejeans.com interview (NOTE: Client WILL NOT pay for travel or related expenses)]
Personal Skill Required:
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to ensure requirements for changes follow the client's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for change control
Technical Skills Required:
· Proven expertise in PL/SQL programming is a must
· Proven expertise in Data Warehousing concepts is a must
· Ability to develop comprehensive test plans, scripts and cases and perform unit and comprehensive testing with system developers to ensure overall functionality technical quality of deliverables
· Ability to trouble shoot technical issues and problems, monitor progress against plan, and communicate status to Leads
Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus:
· Strong SQL tuning skills are desired
Familiarity with Hyperion Planning applications
