Role Statistical Data Analyst Mandatory Technical Skills Skills:

• Basic familiarity with dynamic system modeling and simulation
• Development of structural equation models for various business and IT processes
• Data management – assessment of data sources, ETL, data integration and cleansing
• Statistical methods - regression analysis, time series analysis and forecasting, cluster analysis, design of experiments, Monte Carlo simulation and system modeling
o Exploratory data analysis
• Conduct "what if" scenario analyses using complex simulation models
o Presentation of results through Power Point/Power BI
o Explain scenario input assumptions and results to internal subject matter experts
o Data visualization for presentation to internal business clients

 Tool skills:

o Experience with statistical analysis packages (SAS, R, EViews, …)
o Working knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and ETL (SSIS) on very large data sets ( 1+ billion rows)
o Proficient in MS Office 2013 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI)

Responsibilities:

• Work as a Data Analyst for the Data & Decision Sciences Team that is building simulation models for complex internal processes
• Assist in extracting and analyzing data, doing initial QA on data.
o Integrate multiple data sources for analysis
o Data cleansing
o Exploratory data analysis
• Assist in development of structural equation models for various business process simulation models.
o Participate in specification of causal equations and applying theoretical constraints
o Work with multiple project teams to define and acquire appropriate data, transform data into a structure/format suitable for analysis;
§ Design of experiments to support model estimation and validation
§ Provide documentation of steps taken and account for treatment of all incoming data.
o Estimate alternative model specifications and develop recommendations for implementation into the simulation models.
§ Document estimation process and results to ensure they are repeatable in the future as new information becomes available.
• Validate the simulation model equations against real-world production data as it becomes available.
• Run simulation models (Monte Carlo) and summarize scenario results for presentation to clients.
o Prepare visualizations of model results in PowerPoint and PowerBI tools
• Completion of tasks using SAS, T-SQL Queries, and internal (MS Office 2013) reporting tools is required (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint)
Desirable Technical Skills o Preferred: experience in use of Powersim modeling tools
o C# programming is a plus
o Conducting technical training sessions for a non-technical audience is a plus
