Title: C++ Developer on Linux Environment
Location: New York, NY 
Type: 12 Months Contract

Interview : F2F

Main Duties:
-The candidate will be responsible for on-boarding Securitized Products analytics to a new QA interface, and integrating it to a strategic risk generation platform. 
-The candidate will also be responsible for building and supporting various linux-based applications (servers, and clients to servers and computing grid) as well as managing and maintaining some batch processes.
-Securitized Products is a very data-intensive environment, where large amounts of data being handled puts strain on the systems memory, CPU, middleware and network. 
-Development and design work in this role has to be cognizant of the systems performance, throughput and resource consumption.

Person Requirements:
-3 years of experience with C++ is a must. Some experience with Linux is needed. 
-Working knowledge of one of the more common scripting languages (Perl, for example) is also needed. 
-Experience with Visual Studio and the Windows Development Environment is a plus. 
-Knowledge / Prior experience with TIB middleware messaging, Coherence, grid computing, windows or Linux systems programming and building plugins and libraries are all pluses. 
-Prior experience with data-intensive, computationally heavy systems is also a plus. 
-Knowledge of Java can potentially be leveraged. 
-Experience managing batch processes is also useful in this role.
