Position - .NET Lead

Contract - 6 months

Location - Houston, TX

 5-10 years' experience as a .Net Developer is a must - Agile development is a must 

.NET Technical Lead Reporting to the IT Delivery Lead, the Technical Lead serves as an integral role in the Upstream Business Solutions Delivery Team.

The Technical Lead will provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Work as part of an Agile team utilizing User Stories and translate those requirements into technical tasks for the development team to deliver solutions Be a leader for the development team through test driven design and code.

·         Work as a key member in a cross functional team to develop high quality coded solutions Assists in troubleshooting and resolving system problems.

·         Participates in IT technical project development meetings and provides input on possible solutions, pit falls, and issues regarding initiatives Guide development team efforts towards successful project delivery.

·         Proactively communicate with Project Manager on effort estimates, risks, and status.

·         Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

·         Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.

·         Help to ensure teams adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.

·         Able to prototype or mock up solutions in order to hold discussions with stakeholders Able to understand and work with Data Integration team to ensure solutions integrate per standards.

Drive business knowledge and needs through solution development to ensure value delivery consistently Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship Works closely with the Solution Architecture group to adhere to technical standards to be used when implementing and designing solutions Works within a complex environment to understand existing solution base and the impact of change to the existing environment Ensures that technical and coding standards are followed Work with off shore developers to develop a solution and deliver in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities - Technical Leadership –

Responsible for solutions delivered to quality standard while meeting business need in a timely manner  

- Responsible for leading off shore developers and ensuring the resources are adequately trained and utilized

- Perform Code Reviews

- Working iteratively to develop a concept into a low fidelity solution (Excel or other) and transform into a long term solution Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- 5-10 years' experience as a .Net Developer is a must - Agile development is a must - Soft skills to engage stakeholders of varying technical skillsets

- Able to work as part of a cross functional team as a key team member

- Strong Communication Skills - Results driven and proven history of meeting commitments

- Standard Microsoft technologies for Web solutions

- Prior history of leading offshore teams Nice to have

- Data Stage/ETL capabilities - Prior Chevron Experience
