Job Description

An application DBA is required to develop, design, construct, and maintain database applications supporting our regulatory initiatives (Dodd Frank, Basel III), financial professionals and risk management functions.

The Sr. Application DBA will collaborate across stakeholders (product managers, project managers, business analysts, and testers) to elicit and analyze requirements; design, implement, and maintain solutions; support testing and integration; and support maintenance needs.

• Meet with business stakeholders and other technical team members to gather and analyze application requirements.

• Design and build database solutions to satisfy application (business and technical) requirements.

• Perform data analysis where requirements may need to be derived from available documentation, interviews with users, and file specifications/samples.

• Implement database solutions using available database development tools.

• Provide written status reports to management regarding project status, task, and issues/risks.

• Think and act like a senior technologist who can be relied upon to operate independently and responsibly in a senior role.

• Physical Database Design

Experience/Knowledge Requirements
Need Oracle DBA with Application support experience which is necessary"
Preferred Previous Work Experience: 
7+ years as a hands-on Oracle technologist with a good mix of database design, application development and database development including: 
•Oracle Enterprise Manger 11g or 12c administration and Oracle Apex administration working with the following technology: 
o TOAD 
o PL/SQL, TSQL 
o Shell Scripting/ Perl /Awk 
o Apache 
o UNIX/ Linux 
o Replication and Production Maintenance. 

Required Skills/Abilities 
Preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: 
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study 
Other Skills, Abilities and/or Training: 
Oracle and/or SQL Server Database certifications
